How To Find Category ID in Wordpress

Some wordpress hacks or theme options ask you to use category id, but never explain how to find the category id for a specific category. Actually its very easy to find it.

First, log into your wordpress admin panel, then go to Posts > Categories. Now just hover your mouse over the category whose id you want to know, and look at your browser’s status bar at the same time. You’ll see the category id at the end. For instance, in the following snapshot, the category id is 7.
